my engine was pres. washed and now it is hard to start. The shop told me to distributor was messed up. now do I get a msd cap with the extenal coil. so one give me some help please

It's hard to make out what exactly it is that you're saying, but stick a blow dryer with hot air next to the distributor and keep it there for a few hours.

i doubt your whole distributor is messed up....you could go with an msd external coil if you want...for the main reason is, its cheaper than trying to get a stock coil. New cap and wires will probably solve your problem. and going to the msd cap and coil will just be a bonus....which is how i always fall back...never replace...always upgrade

to be honest the biggest thing your gunna notice is the increased gas mileage...your not really gunna notice a power increase...the car will start a whole lot easier.

its really straight forward...the two wires that ran to your internal coil you run outta the distributor and to the new coil...then you just runa coil wire and then your done....I use NGK wires on my car.

the wires are a nice blue color...if you look at my post in the pictures section theres pictures of my motor in there and you can see the wires...
the cap is about 40 bucks and the coil is like 60.
so your prolly gunna spend about 100 all together.
