Here's my task: rebuild a '93 1.5L Civic motor to approach as close
as 150HP as possible. I'd like to stay away from turbos and am thinking of how to get more torque as an alternative to the high HP number, i.e., 120HP with gobs of toque will do. all mods considered including bolt-ons like exhaust, intake, ignition, etc. Any help appreciated. |

I' guessing this is a sohc if so I think Gude performance has a package thatmay result in some extremetly considerable hp gains. a bit pricey at 1000 for a complete head rework but I'd say it would def be worth the $$. they used to have the specs and cost of the racing package but its not there anymore....

I deleted your other post, since there is no need to post twice. If you are tearing apart the motor, rods would definitly be worth replacing. I would definitly throw a d16z6 head, intake manifold, and ecu in there. Next, throw a lightweight flywheel on it. Cams are definitly worth looking in to as well, it just depends on how much you are looking to spend.
