OK so i have a fully built b1 motor from the oil pan the the valve cover boosting 10psi on an 18G.
The problem i keep having is the the oil pump crank seal and the rear main seal keep leaking, i've replaced both twice within the llast 1000 miles and just replaced the rear main seal again over the weekend and it's fucking leaking again? What could be the problem, the oil burning on the exhaust is litterally making me sick in the mornings and i can't fucking stand it when i pull up to a light and the oil smoke just pours out of the side of the car. I don't know if the machine shop fucked my crank up when they polished it and balanced it or what, Is there anything i can try to make this shit stop short of taking the car to a shop. I mean i don't even know were i would take it consitering the amount of mod's and the swap being consitered. |

sounds like your having a crank case ventilation problem....the b1 doesnt have a spot for the black can on the back...and when you turbo one...you really need to increase the crank case ventilation...so you should put a breather set up on there.

what would you sugest? I mean i can't tear it back down and punch the back of the block out because i don't have my truck anymore so the civic is my only ride now! My PCV is set up as normal and i have the breather line off the VC going to a catch can and then going to the preturbo intake, but i don't think it's really pulling any vacuum. What setup should i look at, adding two -10an fitting to the VC and then run then to a endyne breather tank? Would have really help release presure of should i try and put a slash cut in the exhaust and then run the breather with the slash hooked up for vacuum. All the PCV post i find online are geared towards vtec motors that have the black box on the block!

That is exactly what you need to do...2 -10 fitting in the vc and a catch can...that should solve your problem...ive seen it several times on b18b's they need more crank case ventilation. dont worry about any slash cut or anything...you need to get a catch can with a breather on it...run the fittings to it, and hook u your pcv the stock way.

ok cool i'll give it a shot, and then replace all the seals again, i'm becoming a pro at this, i can replace the rear main seal in 2 1/2 hours from start to finish. and the oil pump crank seal in 1:45 that includes resetting th timing. I'll let you know what happends.
