I have a 93 DX, and I don't have a faster motor or anything yet ( i do have a 1st Gen B16 that i am selling ). In the future who knows when i might drop in a better motor when i have money. SO that means i'm not neccessarily planning for performance but i always keep it in mind.

What i'm asking is, should i get all the parts i need from an EX to install the front brakes on my DX (the rears were already gone) ?
I need to get new pads and rotors anyways.

OR should i just sell my car eventually and get an EX with all the options, hehe.

don't 'waste' money on brakes until you have a reason for upgrading...save for that swap!

If you upgrade rotors/calipers/pads from an EX or Prelude/ITR, plan on spending around $200-250, and a good long saturday afternoon.

EX, Prelude, ITR??? I know I was born at night but it wasnt last night!! Why would he upgrade to EX? This was already discussed. Prelude wont work and the lug pattern is diffrent and would need diffrent rims anywho. And ITR? Why waste the $$ on ITR parts unless building a whole JDM/ USDM look alike that he seems not to be building and the rims on an ITR are 5 lug...... lug head!! And all of this would run you over your 250 mark getting new pads, resurface rotors (if needed), brake fluid, master cylinder................ saving up for a big brake kit would be the better choice when it was needed.

ok ok ok...

1. EX IS an upgrade in rotor size (to 10.2") from the DX. That's a choice he has. Not the best choice for performance, but I'm trying to give some options.

2. Sorry for not clarifying, but I guess it is just understood that if you get Prelude rotors, you'll get them drilled to fit the 4x100 bolt circle on the 'vic. Not a naturally stock part, but definetly an off the shelf modified OEM part. These are better than the EX rotor size (to 11.1") and I'm currently using this on my EX. As long as you have at least a 15" rim these will fit. I'm using a 15" '03 si rim and I have about 1/4" clearance with the ITR calipers.

3. ITR / Accord Wagon calipers aren't really that expensive either. Get em used, and you are good to go with a little bit of modification so they fit.

4. No hub conversion necessary, no master cyl conversion necessary.

I was refering to non-modifyed parts. How you like the makeshift conversion Crimson? Pics? How much it run you to get the machine work done? What you do drill the lug holes between the lude ones?
