I've read through as many posts as i can and i still haven't find the exact answer to my question. I have a 93' DX coupe with stock crappy brakes. I was looking to upgrade my brakes and never felt like doing the full rear-disc conversion (put rear sway bars on already don't feel like disassembling the rear again).
My passender side rotor is warped so i'm either looking for better than stock rotors/pads, or to do a slight upgrade. Questions: I was wondering what i need to convert to the EX/integra rotors up front? Would i need a bigger master cyclinder/proportioning valve? and brake booster? Do i need to swap over the knuckle? Or should i part together something else? Thanks alot for any help in advance, as i'm looking to do this like asap. I know i should look into brembo blanks/slotted, and Hawk/EBC pads as well. EDIT: If you scroll down this page i found that this guy says i need the EX knuckle if i upgrade ? HYBRID: 4G and 5G Big Brakes Last edited by jdk915 : 05-14-2008 at 03:40 PM. |

Any ideas what i need to use larger EX rotors? because i would like to use the brembo blanks and hawk pads of a larger size. Maybe even integra ones if they are bigger.

Well the only few sites i found said i needed EX knuckles, calipers from an ex/integra/accord/legend of certain years. Since i just had my alignment done and made sure the guy did a perfect job i don't really feel like replacing those parts to mess it up.
In the end i ended up with Brembo rotors ($36 each from autohauzaz.com) and Hawk HPS pads ($58 from tirerack.com). They showed up in less than 24 hours from my order, and i just installed them last night. They definately feel alot better than a stock setup, the bite is initially alot harder, and they have a good progressive feel. I also have a set up Goodridge SS lines i will install later this week to see if that helps stiffen it up a little more. Thanks for your help anways! |
