this is kind of a stupid question, but you do you fully extend the antenna on the 99/00 coupes? heheh. mine only goes out one section and then gets stuck. i get crappy reception because of it.

mine fully extends. i have mine pushed in though because i never listen to the radio anyway.

They fully extend. They definitly aren't fun to replace, but you can get an aftermarket one for about $20, I am not sure what one from the dealer is, though.

use pliers to pull it out if it's that hard to get out.

If you end up replacing it, pull it out of your roof just a few inches and cut it. then tape the radio end of the new one to the old one, and use the old anteanna wire as a fish to pull the new one thru. I have replaced several of these, and this is the easiest method.
