most of you are somewhat aware that i am, and have been for some time, in the middle of a h22a civic swap. well i was trying hard to do everything as correctly as i could. so i ordered the hasport axles. the driver side is fine. the passanger side is a different story. its too long!!!
we got it in and we could barely get the ball joint socket thing together. i saw thing cause its not really the ball joint but rather the threaded pin that comes out the bottom and goes into what i believe is the lower control arm. anyway, once we got it on and put some nuts on we checked the play in the axle.... none. as soon as i set this bitch down and try to drive off its gonna bind. and these are the custom axles that are supposed to go with my swap!!!!! so, aside from going the accord/teg axle route, any suggestions? i already took the plate/washer type thing off the back of the hub, it only helped slightly. and i mean only slightly. there was still NO play. HELP!! Josh

Are you using Hasport mounts as well. I know that the place mounts and the hasport mounts will set the h22 in differently than the other. If it is a hasport mount and axle setup, I would definitly call them up and make sure you didn't get the wrong part or anything.

sorry, forgot... i am using hasport axles. i even called hasport and we measured the compressed length of my axles and some they had sitting there and they are the same length. roughtly 23 and 3/4 inches long. i went and measured a 91 integra ls axle (since this is also a recommended axle for this swap and it was 3/4 of an inch shorter than the hasport unit. (and would probably work) i know hasport puts out good stuff so i dont know what the deal is. im just pissed cause its one more problem ive run into and its beginning to get cold here and the loaner car i have may be going away soon.... not good
