ECUs??????????????

Ok I know that 96-98 ex has a obd2a (p2p) and a 99-00 ex has a obd2b (p2p)(both running a D16Y8).

My question is this. I keep hearing people say that the p28 is better to tune with than the P2P. I am gonna get a new ECU to have sent out to get the speed limiter removed. This also frees up my old ECU for some things Im gonna play with. Anywho should I get the P2P OBD2B or the P28?? What would the "tuning" diffrences be in the two?? Help I dont know much about the D series ECUs and have a guy from portland coming up to sell me a P2P for 30 bucks (not sure yet if its 2A or 2B)

Well no one was awake and on here, but I found out that it would be better for me to run a P28 cause its easyer to chip and is compadable with the hondata that I plan to use on my next project. Feel free to post more info incase this comes around for someone on the search.

I'm not to schooled on ecu's either, I more mechanical. So what makes it harder to chip one ecu over the other? Is it the ecu's actual program or fuel mapping setup? What's the difference?

Not really sure but the answers I got basically just said the P2P sucked and no one really chips it cause of cost and it was hard to. They said that the P28 was more "tuner friendly" and to go with that one. I could chip it but the money lost on chiping the P2P could be better used.
