How can I safely remove the dealer sticker from my bumper or painted surface?
Check to see if the sign is a glue on. If so, you can try hairdrying the label--it should peel off easily without affecting the paint, as long as you don't get the label too hot (which could damage the paint).

If you discover glue or double-sided tape beneath the sticker, spray it liberally with WD-40 and let it set about five minutes.

Using a plastic razor blade (available at your local automotive store), slowly remove the gunk. Use more WD-40 as needed.

When you're finished, use a dry cloth to buff the newly revealed paint clean.

Make sure to remove all traces of the WD-40--it can rot small circles into your paint.

If you use wax on your car, reapply to any areas the WD-40 touched.
