What Intake? What Exhaust?
Dyno tests prove that the AEM cold air intake (CAI) is the number one intake on the market. Other good brands are comptech and iceman. Supercharging? Injen proves the best for supercharged cars, because of its large diameter - 3 inches, superchargers do not like to have air FORCED into the blower housing, it likes to have it sucked in gradually. RActive, matrix, weapon-R and so on, are for modifiers that are on a budget but still want to mod thier car at a lower cost, and at a fraction of the performance. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The exhaust you choose will vary with the application-- here is some general information. For forced induction, you will want to go with a larger pipe size (usually 3"). For the naturally aspirated guys, you will want to stay in the 2 1/4" to 2 1/2" pipe size (in most cases). In almost all cases you will save money by just buying the muffler and having the rest of the piping done custom by a reputable exhaust shop, rather than buying a catback system. Do not go with a budget shop like "Big Al's." They use cheap metals that will not last (you get what you pay for). Keep in mind that stainless steel exhausts will last longer than a regular ol cast iron one, and some people seem to think SS sounds better.
