Alright, I'm set on getting a head swap for my B20Z soon and just wanted a few things cleared up. From what I've read on here and other forums, i've narrowed it down to either the B16 or GSR head.

1)Between the GSR and B16, which one puts out more power? Is either one more/less reliable than the other?

2)Is there any difference between the JDM and USDM B16 head? I know the JDM block as a whole puts out +10 HP. Same redline?

3)How much does porting the head do as far as performance?

thanks guys

Question 1: The GSR puts out more power, it has more displacement, so therefore it has more port, slightly bigger valves, and obviously more displacement since your comparing a 1.6L Head to a 1.8L Head

Question 2: Yes there is difference to the JDM and USDM. The JDM motors have more port and less emmisions, thats how they can pump out an additiona 10HP than the USDM motors.

Question 3: Porting on a honda head is very delicate. Unless you are planning on building your head, i would not recommend doing it. But if you want to do it anyways, you can take it to a local machine shop and they will do it for about 150-300 bucks, depends on the quality. Oh and if your porting it, you might as well get a polish job too.
