I just bought a 94 del sol non-vtec (with a blown head)
I will be buying a motor just to get it to run ASAP it's a manual, the tranny should mate to the d16y7 right...(i saw some on ebay for good prices) also what other engines might i also want to consider... would i have any sensor probs with the swap??? (keep in mind i don't want to spend over 500 for a used engine) i'd appreciate the feedback. -kevin |

Why don't you just find someone who is doing a swap in their del sol and try to snag the old motor from them...It's always worked for me and i usually only pay 200 to 300 dollars for a SOHC VTEC del sol motor...People are suckers for cash money. If you're interested...I know a guy with a 1.6 SOHC VTEC out of a 92-95 si hatch... its the same motor and he wants 600...it has Gude intake manifold and headers and i believe an AEM cam gear. I'll find out for sure if your interested.
