The OEM Honda LSD will hold up to quite a bit of power, but launching hard with tons of power and tons of traction will break anything. Quaifes just have lifetime warranties so they're really nice, but in operation they're about the same as the OEM unit. Some people have actually complained about the Quaife ATB LSD "hunting" from side to side under heavy acceleration with tons of power, and it's pretty scary. I've experienced it, and it's not fun. |

I said "My OEM HONDA LSD handles about 600WHP." Not "has" Although, with any LSD and a set of wrinkewalled slicks, you will most likely gernade it too. Ask Quaife if they will cover your LSD for drag racing, my guess is you'll be SOL if and when it comes time to warranty it. LSD's are "Good" for drag racing, but they were designed for road racing. If you are pushing that much power, might I suggest a 1pc spool instead of a LSD.... Not to get off subject, but my new vehicle runs low 10's and only puts out about 140WHP. No real need for a LSD there......it's a 1 tire fryer |

Anywho I have been working with Quaife reps on my project DA. The reason I didnt want to go with a fully locked up spool was that this car is mostly ran on a track but is tested and broken in on the streets. Having a spool would give "crapy" handleing on streets not to mention not so good to the tires either. The thoughts on this car was to make it streetable, relyable and quite fast. (Not to mention WAY too much power for the street) ![]()
