Hey, I'm curious to know what kind of swaps everyone has done, and what else you've done ontop of the swap?

I just got my car back a couple of days ago and is now powered by a B20Z2 block.


It feels like a whole new car, but I'm still going turbo once I save up enough money. I don't have the money to build up internals, so I won't be running high PSI, but then again, I'm not a hard core racer, especially with the new street racing laws coming out in september

Is it worth it to get a B16 head even with turbo? how much does it do for you?

I still have the mean D16 in the old Vic. I have been able to have the money yet to upgrade the motor.

i have a b16.

your car looks sexy.

what are the new street racing laws?

im pretty sure if youre going turbo theres not too much point in getting a b16 head, dont quote me on that though, but boost is boost and vtec is vtec.

i plan on going all motor though, although i have yet to ride in a turbo car so dont know what im missing out on.

personally i cant imagine life without vtec anymore. thats just me.

That's what I was thinking, and that's why I got a B20Z instead of a B18C. I think if you tune it right though, VTEC + Turbo =

I'm running the B20Z with LS tranny. I've head (from the guy that did my swap, and others) that it is the best for turbo. Plus, you get better gas mileage I think it costs almost as much, if not more, to build up your engine, as it is for a turbo kit. If I had the time, I'd go for all motor, but I don't. Plus, after experiencing my bro's WRX when he pushed it, I want turbo :P

I heard that they're bumping up the consequences. Something about class C becoming class B demeanors or whatever. There was a thread about it on another forum, a lotta gay crap. I think they can catch you for "accelerating abrubtly, or peeling out." This is only for Texas though. I'm not sure if they passed it yet, but it sure is heading that way. I heard Sept. as the date of effection. Ah well, this is why I got a quiet exhaust

Who did the swap? From the looks of things, it looks very well done. And yes boost that baby, it should make for one hell of a ride.

I'm pushing the big dog d16y7 after toasting my b18b1. Now i'm waiting to buy my condo before i put any more money into the car.

What intake manifold did you use?? what b20 came with that huge intake manifold i cna't remember if it was the b20b or z.
