It is my understanding that in the following weeks or months the new hondata reflash will be released and from what I hear it is self tunable or can easily be adapted to any new mods without having to reflash you ECU.

Guys.. he said cheap.. He just needs it to run for daily driving.. He won't be tuning it to maximize his setup just yet.
IF all you need is fuel control a SAFC should allow all you need to have the car run and run well. Since the SAFC version 2 came out you can catch alot of the first gen SAFC pretty cheap on ebay. Also.. 9psi on break in?? For break in you should not have any kind of boost controller running to allow higher boost than the wastegate will run on it's own. (i have known most basic honda kits to run 5.5 psi) unless your kit is custom and the guy/shop that did all the work specified to do it in such a way. In that case i'll just STFU but i'm recommending the SAFC for what your asking. but it'll still be another $200+ to tune unless you know someone that'll give you a deal.

I agree with what you're sayind MKNTRAXX, but the $200 dollars on the SAFC is wasted once he's ready to fully tune his setup all the way.. If it were me (opionion) i'd rather have the equipment i'll need down the road installed, than have to settle with an option that will need to be replaced down the road.
Plus, I don't think you can ever have TOO much fuel/engine management.. protect your investment.

I would go balls out and get an AEM EMS. I have a friend with a fully built turbo GSR running the AEM, and it's awesome. It can be your boost controller...it has so many features it's unreal, and can monitor anything you want. It is well worth the money. Yes, he just wants to daily drive it, but daily driving with 13 lbs on a b16 isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world to do...better safe than sorry.

Then you have problems with changes in the weather affecting how daily drivable the car is and require on occasion that you make some minor tweaking to the maps. yes the AEM is a good setup.. allows you to tune any aspect of the engine control.. but he's not looking for that is he just yet
