Well simple doesn't generally go with running 13lbs daily on a b16, it's not the easiest thing in the world to do. Sure you can run an AFC hack, but it's not effective. Simple and effective do not go together with a boosted honda. Simple would be a b16 that's unboosted.

MKNTRAXX - thanks for the suggestions. <--- Much more on the same page as I am.

Everybody else - Thanks too but you've all got to polish up on your reading skills.

I don't even bother checking this post anymore . . .

It went from an "I need major Help" post to a
Lets see how expensive of shit we can convince him to toss in it.

I'm seriously about ready to just say F the whole project since THIS is the ONLY place I can get into on this sort of thing!!!

I'm doing all of the work myself do to the fact that our only "speed shop" around is the one I used to work at and they don't "tune" or even have the ability to.

In other words, I think I'll be f.u.k.t. on this one. Something tells me that all th eturbo shit might just be torn off from it and chucked to the side.
The "type r" b16 that is already built and in the car should be plenty of power for me anyways.

anyway.

I'm out.

Take our suggestions or not, maybe proper research and knowledge would have been something good to have before you took on the project.

Don't get me wrong! I'm not passing up everyones suggestions, there's just no way in this lifetime that I'll ever be able to afford any of the top of the line ish that most of you are talking about.
I just need to drive it.
The guy said that if I wanted to, I could just buy a header for now to run the engine and break in the new build. Then when I get the $ to get the rest of the things for the turbo setup, I can just bolt it all back on, wire it all up, tune a bit, and go.
That's what I'm thinking I'll do. I don't want to skimp out but I def. can't afford to go all out. That's all I'm saying.
You've all been a big help as usual . . I just figured you'd understand were I was coming from before you all got too in depth into the tuning aspect of it all.

lates.

Biocac, now that makes sense... sounds like you just need some time to decide exatcly how you want to tackle this. There's absolutely nothing wrong with slapping on a header and going from there... Good Luck man, it sucks not having the $$ for your project.. btw i'm really liking your car man it has sick potential.

yeah for real, you said you should have it here in a couple days right? i'm ready for some more in-depth pics!

breaking in the engine without the turbo sounds like a good idea to me. i see where you're comin from, i couldn't have a new car like that and not be able to drive it for that long while you save up money to finish the turbo build. just get that thing running!

That's what i would do with a brand new fresh motor build...just slap a header on it and break it in under no boost...much less stress on the new shit in there.
