The b20a is the stock motor for that prelude.

The b20a3 has 104 hp @ 5800 rpm and 111 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm.
The b20a5 has 135 hp @ 5800 rpm and 111 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm.

It's not a very good motor, one of the worst honda ever made.

So those old preludes,87-91,havea b series motor in them.Didn't know that,so you could drop a b18 in it as well as the b20 crv motor in it?

Yeah if you already have a B in there, just yank it and replace it with a B or your choice... Definately the best bang for the buck, especially since you don't have to deal with OBD2.

The b20a is the black sheep of the bseries, it's not all interchangeable parts like the rest of the B lineup. However, I have seen b16's swapped into that generation of preludes.

Yup the B20A is the total bastard child of all B series. Ive seen swaps done in them but the work it takes to put it in is on the verge of being the same as a H22 into a civic.
