I about to start collecting parts to swap ls teg into my 93 civic....i want to go auto tranny just cuz i not worried bout going super fast just give it a basic performance upgrade. Would a auto ls tranny b fine....or would a cr-v auto tranny b faster?

You can't use a CRV tranny, the CRV is AWD. That leaves..dun dun DUN.....the LS tranny.

lol...I didn't even realize that..So ls auto for now....
Excluding fact is awd does cr-v have better ratio's? If I really got gung ho just do some engineering and make awd. I seriously think I could pull it off if really wanted to..Would require completly rebuilding and shapping floor and take some time and lot of figuring.....might be project for me and my mechinal engineering friend(another reason being n national guard has advatages...) It would prob b quite a while. But be awd honda using all honda power train parts(s2k custom drive shaft and rear end).

Good luck with the CRV drivetrain transplant... I'll bet you give up before you get halfway through.
The wonderful JDM got automatics for the B16 and the B18C, so if you can find those (along with the ECUs to run them), you can install one into your car. |

yeah, from what it sounds like you should just stick with the ls tranny, have some torque and call it a day.
i think youll be plenty happy if youre just looking for something more than what you have now.

Yeah the ls will do for now, but was thinking more down the road when had actualy decent job and started working on new project crx...it wouldn't be over night or anything. prob take atleast a year to finish it with molding body kit and doing all work to make awd possible. besides it not really seem that hard just time consuming and lot of studing b4 ever thouching car....b20 swap, redoing floor, rerunning exhaust, and having drive shaft re done...Never know may come into some money and build that mofo....Won bout 200 buxs tonight at my bike drag races
. Still hard to believe I won my class, i only average joe racing most of em have been running pro mod cars and swear never redlight or have over .570 reaction..
