I;m goingto look at an 2000 GSR tranny today after work, The kid says it's only got 20K on it. What should i look for to make sure it's in good shape. I can't rip it apart and look at it so what should i take as a visual inspection?? And do you think it's a good deal for $450????

really cant even check for play, just turn the spline of the tranny make sure you dont hear any noises or grinding, you really cant inspect nothing unless you take off the housing. Think you can pick up another one for that price? I need a tranny

Dan all of a sudden i went to www.irbanracing.com and they hav a shitload of trannys for sale in NJ and NYC. Thats were i came up with the list that i had. I Emailed alot of people so if they contact me i'll find out the details and let you know. If you end up wanting to buy on from one of these peopl just let me know and you can meet me up here in jersey and i'll take you up into the city or just around jersey. you should come up when eric comes to put my motor in. Could mostlikly grab the tranny on the same weekend.
