Hey Whats up fellas and ladies i just have a question on a Engine swap, im planning on buying a ZC engine for my 1990 civic i want to know which tranny i should go with my stock SI tranny or the ZC tranny i heard that the SI tranny has a better final drive and that the ZC tranny has the better 1-5 gears so please help me figure out which tranny to go with???

Get both, then put the Si final drive into the ZC transmission.



Either one will suit you fine- they're both geared very well. The Si will pull through 1st and 2nd faster than the ZC, but the ZC will eat the Si on the top end through 4th and 5th gear.
