i was just wondering if it would be easyer to convert the car to OBD-1 or the engine to OBD-2? also what else i need to do the swap, other than axles and a rear mount from an SI. thanks in advance.

ive been there but it dosnt say anything about a b16a3 or a obd-1/2 to obd-2/1 conversion.

I am saying i would treat the b16a3 the same as the a2.Correct me If i am wrong, the a2 came out of the del sol and the a3 is out of an Si?I beleive they are the same ,just different generations.You will also need a conversion harness?
The a3 is obd2?

The B16a3 came out of the V-TEC Del Sol and the a2 came out of the 99-00 SI the a3 is obd1 the a2 is obd2. i have done swaps before but they were all with the same year or newer. i have never had to convert anything emissions-wise. the only reason i am considering it is because i am getting the motor for free. i eventually plan on having a K24 w/ K20a2 head like next year. i just need something untill i can save up enough for the major swap. (i feel really slow with my D16Y8) its a 112hp POS. and if i can get a b16a3 in there with little effort i am gunna do it. thanks bro. later.

I always thoughts the a3 was out of the 99-00 Si.
94-95 Del Sol B16A3
96-97 Del Sol B16A2
does that sound right?

Ok well from what i have read up,your gonna need a p30 ECU and the conversion harness.
along with the other stuff,mounts,etc...

B16A3 is from the 94-95 del sol vtec, OBD1. B16A2 is from the 99-00 Civic SI, OBD2b. You'll need the axles, linkage, ecu, harness, etc. It's much easier to just get a B16A2 and not have to deal with the wiring.
