are you installing it or someone else.
you want the motor to cost 3000? pretty much any 92095 (obd1) B series motor will fit fine with having to buy mounts. Wiring would be mostly the same.. unless use your stock harness then you would have to run wire's for Vtec engagment. (look for a b16 delsol motor aka 0bd1 b16) |

Wow,talk about vague and sorry to sound like a dick, but it sounds like you have done 0 research. To me it doesn't even sound like you are into it.You just want "something good" and the "best choice". There are many things you need to look at,budget, what you want from the car and any future plans you have for it. |

Anyways, any b-series swap would be the best fit in a 5th Gen Civic (92-95). For your budget, consider a b18b or b20 swap. |

For $3000 I would run a straight B20 swap, then mod it later. I've seen dyno plots of a stock internal B18B having a better power curve than a B18C5 with just I/H/E and cams + tuning, so you could easily do that on a B20 without too much work. That's without VTEC too.
Start with a solid base, then add a bit later on and you'll have a really fun setup. |

I can vouch for the B20. I would recemmend a GSR or SI tranny if you go that path.. just make sure you aren't in cali.
