you can't chip a obd2 ecu (yet) you have to go standalone or piggy back systems (vafc) but i still would rather have my obd 2 over obd 1.. just for simplicity..

One last thing. Would you all recomend me buying the axles and shift linkage that comes as an option with the motor or purchasing a new oem set or after market? If I go after market what would be the best
set up? |

all depends on the shape of the items. Shift linkage sould be ok i mean it's just two pieces of metal. The axels / half shafts make sure the boots are in good shap and not leaking / cracked. If they look good take them with the swap.

Unless you wanna spend an ungodly amount for aftermarket axles, i wouldnt get them. Here i get both axles for 70 bucks so its not a big deal. Besides, we run stock axles on high hp cars here...it all depends on how you drive. Definately get the shift linkage, you will kick yourself cause sometimes the linkage can be hard to find.
