Well thank you for yalls input on the ecu question I had in the last post. It helped out a lot. I bought my motor today (b18c obd2) and hopefully I will have it in about a week or so.
This is strictly by opinion only! I am going to build my motor for a turbo set-up and I would like opinions on what I should get to build my motor. Such as rods(crower, eagle), pistons(JE), Crower stage 2 turbo cams, valve train(skunk2, crower), ACT extreme ss clutch, etc... What cc would be good for injectors also 550-650cc? Like I said this is just opinions, because I really dont know what will run better with what set-up. I want my set-up to be for street and racing. Thanks |

I bought the motor with the axels, shiftlinkage and lsd and cost me $3952.58 w/ shipping. I am not trying to brag but I have a little under 2 grand left and I will to build a turbo set-up and would like some advice/opinions on what I should buy. I will get the turbo when I get more money saved up.

Save your money on the Crower cams and just use your gsr cams, they're great for turbo. It's never a bad idea to upgrade your valvetrain. As for suggestions on clutch and injector size it really depends on your horsepower goals. With the money you've saved not buying the Crower turbo cams, invest it in an engine management system (uberdata, hondata, aem ems) and some fuel upgrades such as a bigger fuel pump. |

GSR Cams are fine, a really nice setup for turbo would be a type r intake and a gsr exhaust cam..and pistons are not pistons...different companies use different materials. theres reasons why they cost different amounts. I would recommend cp because they are what ive had the best experience with. AS for rods, i dont like eagles, ive seen the bolts stretch and ive seen the big end actually distort. Rods, i would get scat or crower, both ive tried and both work very well. Depending on your hp goal, sleeving would be a good idea. if you dont plan on going over say..350 your fine, but much higher youll probably want to sleeve it to be on the safe side. DO NOT use skunk 2 springs and retainers. Ive seen to much bad stuff happen with them. Broken springs, serious sag in the springs, low seat pressure, all bad things in a turbo motor. All the turbo motors we build..regardless of HP get 1000cc injectors. hell, my car is a fully built motor for turbo, and doesnt have a turbo on it yet, im still running 1000cc injectors...added security. id much rather use 30% of my injector then 99%. Honestly if you need some help, give me a little more specifics like hp range, and budget and i can give you some pretty good advice...trust me its what i do, we have a couple fully built cars over here that have come out of our garage. Not to mention om a dealer for a lot of the parts you need, and can get them for you at outrageous prices...

don't listen to these guys......
www.inlinepro.com go for their headgasket stock bore obviously and www.arp-bolts.com their head studs.... With a lower compression headgasket and a good tune you can see 300 whp daily on stock GSR internals..Inline pro made like 505whp on 93 octane but it blew up the 3rd run on the dyno (the pistons just melted).. so 300 daily is not a problem. |

PS keep your head stock until you have to build it to keep from burning valves.
