ok got the b16 in and i got it started with no cel but then i started to hear a sound and it was my timing belt hitting the plastic ...

ok got the b16 in and i got it started with no cel but then i started to hear a sound and it was my timing belt hitting the plastic cover what i wanted to find out is there a good way to get the crank off because i found the problem it is the tensioner and i need to readjust it but i can't get the crank off i got the tool to hold the crank in place but the dam thing doesn't move let me know thanks guys!

a b18b block but it needs work new pistons and i would say new sleeves it has eagle rods in it and stock crank 75bucks shipped or trade for a set of springs

You don't need to remove the crank pulley to adjust timing belt tension. Loosen the tensioner bolt, rotate the crankshaft until the cam gears have turned 5-6 times (this automatically sets belt tension), retighten the tensioner bolt to the recommended torque spec, then rotate to check tension.

nah the problem is the bolt is not seated right the whole bolt is in wrong! but i will listen so all i need to do is turn the crank around a bunch of times and it will get the right spot even with the bolt out?

ok got the problem pretty much finally solved it was the little latch that the tensionor holds on to with the spring it was off now the only problem left is that the bolt doesn't seem to be going all the way in now i tighten it up and the tensionor moves back down i spin the crank and the belt seems tight but i don't know how tight is tight anything i should look at?
