Need help getting the engine light to turn off. The garage says fuel is too lean/rich (error code44?) GSR head / ITR block and using ITR ECU. Also having problems at 7-8k rpm, some popping and will not go further than 7k rpm.

thank you

Try resetting the ECU, if your fuel maps are off though that's not going to help much. Have you had it on a wideband to see what the A/F ratio's are. That popping could be detonation if it's running to lean up top.

also did you do the wiring? Which ecu did you use, what car is the motor in, i had the same issue from the 1-4000 range, ended up being a wiring issue

Popping sounds like you are detonating or "pinging" to me. Maybe you advanced your timing too far? Bad tank of gas?
