Hey,
I have a '99 Civic SiR with a B18C5 swap.. I'm looking at getting a high-flow cat and a cat-back exhaust.. my only question is do I pick one made for a '99 SiR? Will they line up with the header properly? If not, what type would I order? One for an Integra Type R? |

you're sitting at the same position. Man to be honest, i wanna say my greddy bolted right up.. i have a 99 civic EX chassis, with a type R. BUT if it didn't bolt right up. all you have to do is go to a muffler shop, the flange (connecting point) for the cat side of the exhuast will be slightly off they will cut it off and reweld it to mate up. 30 dollar job, no biggie

i had to do that to my cat when i did my ls swap. the just cut the cat and extended it a litlltle to connect it to the header. it was like 40 bucks and i'm still using my catback for a 95 civic.

get yourself a nice exhaust from a good company. Apexi, RS*R, Spoon, or somewhere along those companies. I have done Apexi with both of my cars and absolutely love it. HKS is also nice too. Just gut your stock cat, it will do fine.

Sweet.. thanks. I have a mugen 4-2-1 header so I was looking at getting a mugen cat back.. but I've also thought of getting a universal HKS Carbon Ti muffler but then i'd need the rest of the pipes.. but they look pretty sick.. anyone know what they sound like? I don't want my exhaust too loud..

kteller sells just piping in different sizes for hondas if you went with the universal muffler route.

lol my answere to everything...junk the all motor stuff throw a turbo on it
lol j/k No any cat back should work....the mounting positions for an integra and a civic are identical so it wouldnt matter what exhaust you got it for. worse comes to worse..the header will have to be lengthend a litle bit...could do it yourself if you had a welder. |
