Thats a little better than average price...usually around 750 from a shop for the low compression B20...higher compression B20 is always more expensive...and hard to find.

isnt that the Z model B20 with the higher compression? Ive also heard b20's have thinner sleeves than GSR's/Other B series motors.

yeah they do have thinner sleeves b/c of the larger size.
and i didn't know if it was the B20B or B20Z but i figured if it anyone cared enough they could email the guy and ask.

Z = higher compression

Well, sort of.
The USDM B20B is the low comp, and the JDM B20B from 97-98. The USDM B20Z is high comp, and the JDM B20B from 99-00. You can tell the difference because the higher comp model has a knock sensor on the back of the motor, and the intake manifold isn't the giraffe style like in the pic above. |

now that i'm in the situation that i'm in, i'm actually considering trying to get this motor to put into a 95 coupe or something. it doesn't say anything about a tranny so i know i'd have to get that. how much other stuff would i need to make it work?
