Thats a little better than average price...usually around 750 from a shop for the low compression B20...higher compression B20 is always more expensive...and hard to find.

isnt that the Z model B20 with the higher compression? Ive also heard b20's have thinner sleeves than GSR's/Other B series motors.

yeah they do have thinner sleeves b/c of the larger size.

and i didn't know if it was the B20B or B20Z but i figured if it anyone cared enough they could email the guy and ask.

Well, sort of.

The USDM B20B is the low comp, and the JDM B20B from 97-98.
The USDM B20Z is high comp, and the JDM B20B from 99-00.

You can tell the difference because the higher comp model has a knock sensor on the back of the motor, and the intake manifold isn't the giraffe style like in the pic above.

now that i'm in the situation that i'm in, i'm actually considering trying to get this motor to put into a 95 coupe or something. it doesn't say anything about a tranny so i know i'd have to get that. how much other stuff would i need to make it work?
