Hey whats up,
I told everyone I would post my dyno charts as soon as I put it on.. so here they are: http://www.rmkwood.com/dyno_hp.jpg http://www.rmkwood.com/dyno_afr.jpg It pulled a very disappointing 108.3hp and 90ft/lb torque... and its burning fuel like a mother.. come to find out the previous owner was running a modified ODB1 non-vtec computer.. personally I think he just sold the type r computer and threw that shit in when he got rid of it.. kind of pissed me off.. so I guess I'm in for a type r computer and wiring harness this week.. I might run it again afterwards and we'll see what it pulls then.. hopefully around 150hp.. Rob |

Were you taking it to 8600 rpms? Or am I reading the sheet wrong?

Yeah I have a type R in it.. I know 108 is terrible.. I think I know what it is tho.. I think the previous owner had a turbo on it.. the guy at the shop said its burning fuel like a turbo set up and there were also cold spark plugs in it when I got it.. so he probably sold the turbo seperately and then got rid of the car.. and just left the ecu and everything..
And yeah he ran it to just over 8600 rpm.. he didn't bother tuning it or anything since its the wrong computer.. |

Why are you taking a stock C5 to 8600rpm's? The power drops off before 8000 hits. It's pointless to take it much higher.

I have no clue.. the guy at the shop was doing it.. I'll ask him why next time I'm there for the computer...
If it looks like single cam numbers, could the computer not be my only problem? could one of the cams be screwed up? |

Hopefully it's just the computer. BTW, the OBD1 nonvtec computers CAN be modified to run DOHC VTEC programs properly....if done correctly.
