He doesn't have much to work with, but we found a D16 complete engine with really low miles for 600, and it'll drop right in, nothing else to do. Everything in the hatch is already out of a 95 SI so I having him lean towards the sohc motor. Plus he doesn't want it down, he wants to drive it and what is faster than just throwing in the SI motor.
a b16a is a direct drop in. However alot of people like the concept of SOHC over DOHC so its a tossup over a preference. My D16z6 just took a pretty good beating w/o me realizing it. Its a really good motor, But If I had the money it would have been swapped rather than reparied.

Now...like i said above. Im considering beefing the bitch up more. It would be fun competing with a D16 trying to get up with the big boyz lol

Mini-Me,

Thicker head gasket,

Bigger injectors,

Vafc,

Civic EX tranny,

Blitz Boost controller,

Put it no higher than 10lbs.

Should be all you need till you wanna make some SERIOUS HP #'s

If you ask my opinion, I'd just build a H22 and turbo the fuck out of the bitch.

I know a b16 is a direct drop-in, if you have the motor, tranny, and all that good stuff. I'm saying the D16 is a true drop in since he has the tranny and that all in it already. He likes the SOHC motor anyway.

why waste your time and build a SOHC? their transmissions blow ass. You would have to stock up on 4 of them cause they would break all the time.
