bo let me make this decision real easy for you.. cause these guys will tell you what "SHOULD" go in it.. and btw im still not sold on a k motor. BUT. h22 costs you 0 dollars to install (not including parts needed to make it possible) k series = 1,000+ to install (at fucking least) cause im deff not putting in a K series. Oh and have fun buying the 800 dollar +* mounts for a K series. Fuck that. Nuff said.

h22 in a 92 hatch call it a day and save a few bucks

Find a local H22 don't worry about JDM.

Take my advice...(straight from Eric's mouth)

"Dont touch the motor of your daily driver."
buy a regular h22 for 2000 and buy a hatch shell for 1000 you save 600 bucks and now you have two cars.[/b]
Good advice.

If it's your daily driver, and you don't have the know-how to diagnose and fix yourself, or the money/time to take it into a shop when things go wrong, don't touch it.
there you go. that kinda' touches on the famous ol' "you can only have two" rule.

Perfectly said.
The h22 into a civic is involved & time consuming. Def not as much trouble as K series, but slightly more difficult than a B.
Not to mention,i wouldn't put it in my Daily driver to begin with, too big ofa motor that was not meant for that chassis AT ALL!!!!

yea yea yea what else is new, everyone says that until they actually do it and then its not that bad.

Bo, if you're serously considering a H22, i'd go with erics idea and just find yourself some sort of 1992 Shell may it be coupe hatch or sedan, and just swap the sucker right in and take your time doing it and do it right.

All that coming from someone who gave up on there d series swap.

The fact still remains, yeah it can be done, but the damn civic was not meant to have an H series in it.
They still do not handle as good as they would if they had,say a b series in it.

You got the cash and the time,go for it, do it right and do research.

yea the H series swap just seems a lil shady to me still. i always read about em in mags and it seems like the probs outweigh the benefits. just swap in a B dude. itll be easy, simple and ull have urself another 30+ hp.

B>H>D>K(K being at the end cuz its expensive and hard, not perfected yet)

Yeah and? My car runs, yours didn't and you gave up. I've done all my own maintenance work and mod work. I can diagnose and fix my car on my own, without anybody's help. Look at the long line of people who don't know what the fuck to do when their shit blows up, or their clutch starts going out.

"I can't afford to fix this."

"I don't know how to fix it."

"What's wrong with my car, why'd this happen?"

You play, you pay...period.

oh i forgot to mention, with a H22 you lose power steering and AC.
No you don't. You're feeding him the wrong information. It's easy to keep your AC and PS with an H22 swap these days.
