as the others have already said making 250whp N/A is not an easy task by any means. that said if you end up going through w/ it and succeeding that would be one nasty little setup. just make sure you realize how much work and money it will take.
i'm not gonna try and talk you out of going N/A but i'll say this in case you're unaware. if you decided to go turbo you could get that desired power probably with just a nice turbo setup, some boltons, and good tuning, not to mention it'd be much cheaper and probably more reliable for daily driving. just a heads up, but good luck w/ it either way.

this is my 1st honda that im building, I do alot of dirt track racing using a chevy engine, so shit like cams and pistons are alto cheaper and I guess im just comparing that engine to the honda and exspected to get the results. My 350 racing motor puts out 400 whp (ish) and ive only put about 2000 into it.
I wanted to turbo my honda, but i was going to build it NA 1st then turbo later, but I guess it is way cheaper to just rebuild the block and make it strong. and through a little turbo and run about 12 psi boost. Should I still convert my ls block to a Vtec head, or should I just rebuild the 92 integra motor as it is and turbo it and put it into my civic ? and this is a stupid question but the 92 bseries valve covers are ugly, Can U buy an after market valve cover (Mugen or any other) for that engine. basicly so my valve cover will be like the Newer B series.?? |

Hmm I think we started off on the wrong foot. How much money do you realistically have to spend on a setup like this. Even a 200whp car will be pretty quick if everything is setup right.
To Resistance98EX: If that car only made 196whp out of a motor with that much done. They dont know how to build a motor; and I dont mean physically putting one together. But researching parts to comeup with a setup that will work well together and not counteract each other. |

really? you know that from what experience...its a lot harder to break 200hp than you think it is...NA anyway. I never said to what extent the motor was built...and we were running him on a conservative timing map since he was on pump gas at the time...WE are talking all OEM parts in this motor...pistons(CTR)...rods...block is stock...crank is stock...only after market parts on the thing were the intake manifold(Edelbrock), header(ANR), and the cams, which i believe were crower but im not sure. no port work on the head...and the cam gears zeroed out. So can the motor make more power...hell yeah...but i was trying to make a point here, that your trying to short come...250hp is not an easy bolt up thing to do...

so basicly if I was to change my head to a vtec head then i can run the valve cover from a newer bseries. if i was to keep the stock ls non vtec head, i cant run the newer style (vtec)
so the valve cover changed with the vtec, so the cover wont fit a nonvtec head? |

yeah it has nothing to do with year...its the difference between vtec and non vtec...the LS valve covers changed a little bit though...they went from the dumb looking with bumps to flat with a couple lines...
