Okay,
I've finally saved enough money to do a motor swap in my 1996 dx hatch. I've read up a lot on swaps and am making a check list of everything i'll need. I just want your expert advice on anything i might be missing, or suggestions on how to make the swap easier.

The List :
1996-1998 GSR B18C Complete swap from hmotorsonline.com
1998 EX wire harness (includes all the right plugs for ease of plug and play)
- note : except for the secondary IAB ... not sure where or what this is.
1999 Si rear tranny mount
1999 Si driver side mount bracket

Side Notes :
considering the benefits of doing a timing belt/waterpump replacement, and a clutch install on the B18C before swap... thoughts on this?

Thankyou

you cna't replace your wiring harness unless you plan on replacing the dash harness at the same time, Just use your stock harness add the vtec wiring and change the crank angel sensor and IACV plugs and it will be good. It will be easier if you change the T-belt and pumps while the motor is out of the car. Your also going to need a B-series shift linkage, and a b-series front tranny mount/bracket Also sence you have a d16y7 you mihgt have to change your throttle cable because it's a wierd size, mine didn't fit right in my bracket on the LS motor i'm not sure about the c1.

Because the 6th gen harness are all one piece, they don't seperate like 5th gen cars or integras, Just reuse your stock harness.

if you're planning to replace the clutch/fly anytime in the near future it'd be much easier to do it while the motor's out of the car.

Yup reuse your stock harness and just add what you need.
You'll need the gsr throttle cable and shift linkage.
si drivers side mount and si rear tranny mount. both are fairly
cheap. Like simple said do a tranny fluid change and also spark plugs
while your at it.
You'll have the motor sitting on the ground so def. do the timing belt and water pump, Also if you wanted to replace the clutch now would be the ideal time.

Fluids. Everyone forgets this but it adds up real fast. Oil alone is 5 bucks a quart, coolant, DOT3/4 (brake fluid) to redo the clutch, Trans fluid, new spark plugs while your at it.
