K, so i've tried reading up on doing a mini me but all of them seem to use a D16Y8 head. I was looking to swap a B16A head onto my block (D16Y7). I would be trying to get one from a later model ('96+) SI so I wouldn't have to worry about the OBD2-OBD1 conversion, or would I? What I need to know is do the B16A heads fit onto the D16Y7 block, if so what mods would I have to make to the head/block and were would I find a really good write up on how to hook up a VTEC controller for this. Also any suggestions for VTEC controllers, or is there a way to get one out of the car i'd get the head out of? Any and all comments, suggestions and help is appreciated. Thanks.
PS: I have a '98 DX only mod is AEM SRI

I have heard of people doing this swap, but I just can't find any info on it. I want to make my car VTEC and I am considering just buying a whole different engine, but i don't think i'd be able to install that myself where as I could do a mini me myself. Anyways, let me know i'f i'm just crazy or if this is possible, referring to the mini me.

mini me is very possible. putting a dohc head on a sohc is physically impossible. litterally. it's like putting a chevy big block head on a boat motor.

so would I be smarter to do a mini me or just drop a whole new engine in (I want a B series motor and/or VTEC). This is currently my daily driver but I also want to take it to the track on the weekends.
