Thumbs up

It seems guy on ebay basicly said piss off on sending me my crank. I been thinking about it for a while and going to probably get Aftermarket Crank too...
I have heard that B16 crank and rods is really good to allow to rev higher. I just curious if by mixing and matching crank and rods could get a better ratio. Does anyone have any experence with this at all?

Is it better to have shorter, longer(limit sld I say before hit head), or a happy medium...

unless your going to run a custom set of rods..the b16 crank/rods are going to come up about a 1/4" from the deck...which will dramatically lower compression not to mention de-stroke the motor. i would run a gsr/type r crank in a b20 to allow for better revability.

Is that with stock rod length? 141.7-142.75 mm ? Would the higher margin be better? Or lower?

stock rod length isnt the issue the stroke on the crank is shorter.

but doing that wouldn't take from stroke 1.8mmm? Would getting B18C1-C5 rods that are .7mm long help on this..I going off zealautowerks compression calculator so just guessing. It gives it .01 better ratio with those rods.

If you run the GSR/ITR crank, then you need GSR/ITR rods. Since the deck height of the B20/LS is the same as the GSR/ITR, you'll need to run the GSR/ITR rods since you'd be running the GSR/ITR stroke. If it were me, I'd just stick with the B20 crank to get extra torque...I don't need to rev super high anyways...it'll take 8500 no problem.

I just trying to think about it. I have read that the r/s of b20 is not the greatest and can bring up reliablity issues. I trying to worry about all of issues may have now so not end up killing all my work and money

i dont think the torque gain is much compared to the reliability you will gain using a gsr itr crank...Just insurance for you if you ask me...you want more torque...turn the boost up a little bit.

The R/S ratio isn't really drastically different. But I don't need to rev to 9 grand...
