i kno the d16y7 mini me is popular and i have seen it done quite often but i was wandering if the same is true for the new d17a1? it seems like it will work without a doubt but i didnt kno for sure because of all the new changes.

i'm pretty sure you need to use the d17a2 head, but yeah, it works just the same as the older mini-mes. incidentally, people have been using the d17 crank to make d16 strokers for some time... then you can enjoy the plethora of parts interchangability for the d16s, but still have the displacement of a d17.
