I just bought jdm motor via internet, and have alot of problems. First they did not send me any mounts the axles are broken and sent me the wrong ecu. i dont even know if the motor they sent me is the same as what i had paid for.

HOW DO I KNOW IF I GOT RIPPED OFF AND WHAT CAN I DO TO PROTECT MYSELF I CALLED THEM AND THEY DID NOT LET ME GET A WORD IN AND HAD A LAME EXCUSE FOR EVERYTHING I HAD A PROBLEM WITH WHAT DO I DO



I bought an ob2 gsr but the ecu they sent looked like the one my friend has in his obd1 out of curiosity i plugged it into his and it worked without a hitch

Were did you buy if from? What did you pay? what type of agrement was made? Post page, link?
What car is this going into? If your only problems are the axles and ECU out of aa full swap consider yourself lucky. As for mount, bepending on what car it's going into your most likley going to need to get different ones anyway.

if your not sure if its the same engine you ordered, check the code on the block to the engione code you ordered.

Jspecauto.com and i ordered a 96-01 gsr they said it would include mounts I know i have to replace three but need the front tranny bracket which they said would be included. next the axles were broken not to mention the inter shaft bracket bolts were missing. Im not even sure if the motor is even obd2 the plug wires say 1995 on them My friend came by with his 1998 gsr in his eg and his ecu was just like the one they sent me out of curiosity we put it in his car and it ran but he is running an obd1 setup there doesnt seem to be anything right with the thing even the throttle body and manifold on his look different. what do i do?

Your motor is a 1996 if it is stamped 1995 because they manufactured it a year before they sold it. Therefore it should be an obd 2 engine. As for the ecu what are the markings on it?
When i bought my swap it was missing some minor shit like bolts and one mount so don't
sweat that too much. So how are the axles broken? The place that you bought the swap
from should replace them for free. And pay the shipping.

all the brackets were missing including the bolts that would fasten them to the engine and trans also missing are the bolts that would hold the inter shaft to the block. one axles threads are bashed in where you could not put the axle nut on and the others inner joint is in pieces. the ecu is definetly for an obd1 gsr i know this because there is only three connector and they do not match my 98. also there is no cranksensor wiring behind the crank pulley and no crank sensor for that matter all obd2 should have a crank sensor as per obd2 requirements. if there is a way to check for sure id like to know because i have to call them monday. as for the axles and mounts when i first recieved the gsr i had called them and complained they just said that they could not help because it was a used engine and that it came as is. this is before i realized i might have the wrong motor and ecu. who knows what kind of excuse they have for me now? I really anxious and need to know about the year of the motor i have. HELP!!!!

on the block it says 1101827 b18c and the cyl head says 9/5
