i can only answer one of your several questions for sure. i do know that the ZC's are very formable (sp?) engines. granted, they aren't a b16, b18, or h22, but they are good engines. not to mention that they are a lot cheaper. they also fit well into fourth gen hatches and such. this isnt true for the others. (they do fit, but not as easily) i think we had a guy in a fourth gen hatch with a juiced zc running 14's up here. (home is 4,500 ft or so above sea level) but i cannot remember for sure. (i do remember that the car was gutted)

I have an SOHC VTEC ZC in my 1990 Civic hatch and I am pleased with it. These motors are rare and hard to find but if you can find one they are worth it. Stock Hp 140 with 132 lbs torque. that is stock and the block code says ZC it is soo cool to show off be cause most people don't know what it is. LOL

If I where you I would go with a DOHC ZC I have a turbo on in another car of mine. Not only was installation and wiring a snap but when you at turbo and a nitrous cooled intercooler setup you should be around low 14's high 13's

Can I see pictures of this SOHC VTEC ZC? I seriously doubt it has 132 lbft of torque stock... that's even higher than the B18.

Oh yea, I own a knarley zc motor and its just as much of a bitch to swap as a B16, the reason I say this is althoe it does mount on the stockers, finding parts can be a real task. If youre realy considering going zc come over to www.thezcresource.com and you will learn all you could ever want to know about the zc.
If you want to make good power and stay Naturaly Asperated ask SethZc in the NA forum what to do, he is the most honda-knowledgable person I know! (LOL, shamless plug)

Yea, the D series board is a great place. Plenty of cool people and lots of good tech talk, but its a little to tecnical, every time I ask a question over there things seem to just run away if you know what I meen. But still, I do enjoy the d series board (I liked the old one better thoe) Hey Biocac, does Bisi still kick it on the D series board?

As far as Bisi, I don' t really remember all of the member names that well. I'm not on there at all compared to here on cl. I feel like an outcast, lmao
