Arent the hatches lighter? I know the CX hatch is the lightest of them but how do they compare with a coupe?
I would think the hatches are lighter but I'm no expert

hatch is ligher, but in all honesty, unless you are building a track car, or really like hatches, the coupe will probably suit you better. (experience)

there should only be like a 120-140 lb difference between the cx hatch and dx coupe.

which means that if you race a hatch with the same setup you have in a coupe, you will get smoked because of that extra weight.

if you think losing by .10 - .15 seconds is getting smoked that statement would be true.

anyways, IMO don't sweat the difference in weight. the dx coupe and hatch both have a lot more sound deadening material in them than the CX. you could probably drop a big chunk of the 120 lbs difference. the weights are really a lot closer than most people think. also, i think the dx weight includes A/C and the CX weight doesn't (have to check on that for you).

also, este the VX is lighter than the CX (like 10 lbs lighter ).
