Discuss the k20 or b20 thread at the Hybrid Honda forums at the CivicLand Honda Civic Forums.
Whats the difference? Which is the best? will both be able to fit in a 97 Honda Civic EX Sedan. If so where would you recommend to buy one?...

yes, both will fit in your ej coupe. k20 is definately the way to go, but the k-series motors are a bit pricey. the b20 is the cheaper alternative. throw a vtec head on it and you've got a pretty decent torquey engine for about half the price of a k20. ls/vtec is also another great alternative. the good thing about the k20 is it's a newer motor, and there are lots of upgrade parts available for it already that can net you a lot of power. if you've got the cash, go for the k-series.

if you do decide on the B20 swap, check out this thread.

If you have the money for the K20, you can look on ebay or just do a google search for japan motors.
