Interior Dye..?

well since the 96-00 civic do not come with a black interior.. i want to get info on dyeing it all black.. i mean every little peice in my hatch that is grey i want to be black.. i need any info you guys have.. dash, door panels, rear panels, all the dash peices.. everything that is not alreadys black i want to make it.. will the dye give it a stock look and feel jus the color i want.. or will it feel different..

My painter Shawn just started re-doing his interior in his 53 Belair.
The seating and interior in it were RED. Yeah! Gross as balls.
He bought a few cans of grey interior dye and went to town. You should see how great it looks now. I swear, they look like they were meant to look like that.
He told me that the dye comes in all shades so black shouldn't be too hard to find.
Take your time and do it in a confined area with lots of lighting so that you can keep an eye on it all.

Is there some brand that's better? I know from experience that spray paint does not last..that's what i was worried about.

can I dye a black interior a lighter color? Like Grey? Just curious

Shawn dyed his interiro from blood red to extremely light grey . . almost a whitish grey so I'm going to go with "yes" on this one!
You should be able to dye it lighter.

after asking around some i think its basicaly like spray paint as far as putting it one.. if this is true then the prep work will be a major part of the work..

hkspowers.. i dnt know what kind of car you have but if the same car comes in grey interior you should try and find that.. that would probly save alot of time and hassle.. if the 96-00 civic had black interior i would just buy it rather than doing it myself..
