I sanded down my blue painted interior pieces halfway decent (it's impossible to get all the paint off) and I want to paint them over in flat black. I also wanted to add a primer first layer. I figured I could pick up a flat black primer and just spray the pieces over with that only.

Would a few coats of spray sandable black primer be decent enough to paint these interior pieces or will it chip easier than paint or look bad after a little while unlike normal spray paint?

I guess I paint halfway decent because I only had a a couple of small paint chips of just using wal mart spray paint on the pieces after a year.

If you are painting plastic, don't worry too much about using primer . . look into what is called "adhiesion premoter"!
That will get the job done.

when painting plastic, Just use really really really really thin coats. The first 3 coats should just be a mist and barley cover the piece. Just dust the spray for the first few coats.

Painting over my old rice blue that was sanded down with a few patches of paint to a flat black to make it look stock and blend with the interior and my new wheels is rice?

Anyway it's an old post and it has already been done, and it looks great!
