Ok, here's my question.
Are the Recaro seats from JDM ITR/CTR the same seats as those found in the new EVO's here? There a guy selling a set locally for $400. They don't really match my interior theme but hey if they are half price and still function as the $1k ITR/CTR ones do I wouldn't mind. Recaro replica seats go for 350-400 shipped off ebay. How hard would it be to get them to recline? Here's the pics ![]() ![]() ![]()

I doubt they're the same as the Evo seats- there are too many Recaro models out there.
Those look like they recline to me. Replicas are just that- replicas. They're made to look like the real thing, and if they're cheap- they generally don't perform like the real thing. If you want real Recaro feel and quality, buy those seats and find a way to mount them to your car. Don't buy the knockoffs. |

yeah that's what I was thinking. It's just that they don't match the rest of the red inside my car. I'm gonna take a trip to the Mitsu dealership to see if i can sit in those seats today. The guy is in Arlington so I don't want to drive up there if i'm not ready to buy yet.

Reupholstering a set of cheap seats is pointless- for the money, you might as well buy a set of good Corbeaus or Sparcos.

yeah I think I'd just leave them blue, but I don't have the money for them right now. I spent more than I thought I would on tires... I'm hoping to go turbo by the end of summer, or during fall break

cam I have sat in those EVO seats and they are comfortable yet have a sporty feel to them. But I doubt the orginal brackets will fit, you can always have custom ones made, isnt that hard
