Thats what i thought too. but when i went to inspection (eatontown) i asked them and they clearly stated that if you have a STOCK wing with a a brake light you don't have to use the one in the window. The stock wire harness from honda that runs intot he truck only has one brake light (not including the normal ones) plug. you can either use it for the wing of the window. Either way i meant he wing blocks the view of the window light but how cars. I'll post those pic for you once i get a chance to host them. Either tonight or tommarow.

If you have a 3rd brake light and no wing with an LED, please dont cover it. I hate when you cant see the 3rd brake light. Its one of the few noticable ways to tell your braking. Especially at night. Ive almost rear ended a million people becuase 1 of their tail lights is out, and the 3rd light is either out or covered. Plus its illegal to do it. So if a cop wants to get picky about shit when he pulls you over, one more thing to add to the list.

Don't worry, I got my SI wing on . It shouldn't be illegal cause the cars with LED on the wings came with the 3rd brake light disabled. I ended up paying the tint place to take the rear deck off. (I know it's a ripoff but I tried it before and you gotta take everything in the back off to do it. Plus it's 100+ degrees everyday here in TX). I'll post up some pics once I get around to washing my car.

I guess I saw this thread too late. It's weird because I was just looking at my car's tint job today and saw how bad it looks w/ the third brake light not tinted. It is illegal to not have the third brake light functioning unless you have a wing w/ a LED on it, in which case THAT light becomes the third brake light. I also have the SI wing so I don't have my third brake light hooked up [that would look REEEAL funny]. I wish my tint place would have done my third brake light, I don't think you will regret forking up the money to have it done Cam. How dark did you go? I have my windows tinted 17% [or so that's what the meter read when I had my car inspected last]. I like it, and despite what people say it isn't hard to see at night, maybe I got really good tint put on or something? Post up pics now that it's done.

i got mine tinted 35% on the sides and 20% in the back. 35% is legal limit for the front 2 windows and i thought it would look funny if i tinted half the side darker, so i went ahead and requested the whole side 35%. tint is one of those things you can't live without once you've had it. =P

before

i kinda liked having the stock emblems..darn thieves issed:" class="inlineimg" />

after

i don't regret getting 20% in the rear one bit. i only wish they made it legal to get 20% all the way around..that would be NICE =P
