Got a cheap, nice looking e-brake handle from autozone. The problem is, I can't figure out how to take off the stock one.
Do I have to unscrew it with some pliers, or do I cut it with a box cutter. Btw, I own a '99 civic dx, if that helps. ![]()

I've heard of people taking a hair drier to it then pulling REALLY HARD.

I cut it with a razor, but thanks, guys.
The installation was harder. The one I bought didn't fit, so I had to shave the inside. Now for the automatic shifter from crappy autozone. Should screw on/off. I'll put it on later today. Too lazy. For $20 autozone parts, they do look pretty nice. Now, for your entertainment, I will get smashed. ![]()
