put em higher up on the firewall. above where your feet would be.

and how would you mount them there? isnt that metal under the carpet?
yeah you can use self tapping screw, but idon't think you can get up high enough to hide them from the tube being exposed.[/b]
Mine are. I put them just above the top of where the
carpet ends. You cant see the light itself.
just a mesmerizing blue glow....lol

i was able to get small 5-6" neons that were fairly thin and i just crammed them behind the glove box. there was just enough room. then i secured them with zip ties. the hell with the double sided tape. then i just took power from the cig lighter cuz i never use it. i hard wired it though.

You bet. I've never had a problem with em being there.

I dunno what size they are, maybe 6 inch.

oh I am taking all the advice to heart! I am just afraid that your going to be able to see that at the top of the carpet that's all... I just dont want my feet hitting them, and I dont want them visible.

Yea you could put em in a few different places, but like dough says
it looks hidious if you can see the tube itself. And no my pedals
dont hit it.

first of all your seats just unbolt from the four mounting spots. dont rip the seat out after that tho cuz there is gonna be wires underneath that ur gonna have to detach, its just a clip so its real easy, but u dont wanna rip the whole box and wires off the floor when u take it out.

second, take ur glove box out. to take the glove box out i believe its two screws up top and then it lifts up and out. then u will see that there are two brackets, thier like maybe 8 inches long, that run across in the back, i used these when i wired my rear speakers, i ran the wire across the upper bracket, for u i would say use the lower one. just check for clearance with the glove box while ur doing this. then use zip ties to secure it, just dont leave them loose or go too tight, just go until they snugg up.

this should take care of ur problems, i think. by the way, what color did u get?
