Also, I use newspaper to dry it off<?> I dont know why I was told by my brother to do it and it seems to dry without and smudges. I dont know if anyone uses this "ghettod" but that is just what I was taught...

You can use any fowming window cleaner that DOSN'T contain amonia. Most all brands work equally well.
If you use an amonia based cleaner, the tint will change color and most likely be ruined in time.
As for the newspaper thing . . When I was a detailer, we used n.p.s all the time, they soak up water and never leave streaks.

the reason the newspaper doesn't leave streaks if becase it's the friction thats drying the windo not the paper absorbing (sp) the water. The newspaper gets wet but it's not sucking the water up therfor it can't put it back down on the window.

Do not use anythign with alcohol init on tinited windows this will get you that puprle fade.

as a tint installer for the last 2 years... warm soap & water (spray bottle) ...and use newspaper as your cloth/rag/etc

first of all tint changes color, thats what it does after time. the only stuff that wont change is the 3m color stable tint that im sure they toold you about when you got your windows tinted but its more expensive so you probably didnt get it. again ALL tint will change color except for color stable. you can use any kind of cleaner on it is not going to hurt it.

water and baby shampoo is what you use to prep the window for tint.
