Did anyone hear of an carbon fiber intake manifold made by a company called "AIR"? It weighs about 4.5 pounds and tested to increase HP by 25 (although the test didn't mention which car was tested). They showed it in Import Tuner last month but it's hard to search online about an intake manifold when your company is called "air"!

here it is

It does sound like a damn good intake, but for the money I would probably just go with a Skunk2 or AEBS.

for the money you could buy a few skunk2s or ABES' and have them port matched to your head...$1450 for a manifold....

thats so true....Not to mention that most of the products that"american products company" makes are "made" in indonesia at a fraction of thier sell value in the states. carbonfiber is light, and that is good. The problems with these carbonfiber intake manifolds are that because they are made of thin, layered carbonfiber sheets, heat penetrates the casing and ambient internal temperature rises. Don't get me wrong, that is a fine looking manifold...I'd buy it, but not for function. It may be twice as strong as steel, but not as refractive.
