Actually if you have dx tranny keep it. The gear is different which will kick your vtec in sooner, thus longer. Gives the extra torque sooner....

100% incorrect. The DX has longer gearing for higher fuel economy- so you'll hit VTEC later and accelerate slower.

Don't bring back dead threads just to add false bullshit.

last checked Calesta, you aren't the lord of this forum. As far as the info posted being "Bullshit," my local honda peformance shop, who has done over 1000 swaps, advised me that because the gearing is longer the Vtec would kick in sooner.

Oh, did I mention he is a honda trained mechanic from Japan?

What does that mean?

Not trying start shit, just want to figure out why people feel the need to be rude right off the bat. That person has only made 11 posting does not mean that person in not knowledgeable. For all anyone knows I could have a PHD in Automotive Engineering., not that I do, but the points is know one knows what other peoples knowledge might be.

well waltzing in here acting all arrogant will get you pretty much nowhere. If you dont know how to take criticism, then sit back and lurk (watch how other ppl post and manage to get along) before you go and fly off the handle.

Also, sassing a forum admin isnt really the brightest thing to do.

a mini-me is a SOHC VTEC head mated to a SOHC non-VTEC block.

SOHC Mini-Me's are a waste of time. DOHC all the way. but its your money, do what you wish, because for the amount of money you spend on a mini Me for all the parts you coudl have bought an LS long block
