Finally, some young kid over at another forum decided to get some custom cams made for the SI

here is the post:

Please keep in mind that the map I used to obtain these dynos is a very very rough calibration. There is more power to be had.* How much?* I'm not sure, so don't ask. The base map that will ship with the cams will have a much smoother powerband and possibly greater peak numbers.* I also expect that fresher motors will make better numbers as the test motor has 114,000+ miles.* :mtongue:

Graphs are SAE standardized with level 5 smoothing.

he is testing them and will be releasing sometime soon, that SI sounds mean!!!

All he has is: I/H/E exhaust is a custom job too but not too intricate, any upgraded exhaust will output the same. I bet Hondata's k-pro will yield some awesone numbers too!!

oh shit sorry for the large ass pictures

Not bad. I'd like to see what they could do with a little tuning, maybe some different primary lobes to make more low end...they lost a lot of torque in the low end.

Yeah- TONS lost in the low end. I don't like that. A good set of cams meant to work with stock pistons should lose almost nothing in any part of the power curve.

Are the new Civics still OBD or have they moved to something more like CAN?

They're still OBD... OBD2b. What's CAN? Canadian regulations? I doubt that we would ever follow Canada on emissions regulations (if that's what it is).

No it's not Canadian. It's basically the newer version of OBD. Here is a good article on it.

Honda will eventually have to move to it. I was just curiuos becuase it makes tuning so much harder in most cases.

Ah, ok. I've heard a little bit about that... but I'm too waterlogged now to have my brain work.
